The Centerburg Trojans (11-8, 9-3) went 1-2 against Knox Morrow Athletic Conference rivals Northmor and East Knox last week, but they were able to get a little redemption to end the week against the Golden Knights,

Centerburg’s Ryder Scott was on top of his game, pitching a four strikeout shutout in a 4-0 win over Northmor on May 2. Scott went all seven innings, allowing five hits and a walk in the win.

Leading the Centerburg offense was Jesse Rings was 1-for-2 with a triple and a pair of RBIs. Ricky  Faught was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI. Daniel Lemaster went 1-for-4 with a run and Aiden Trobridge was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run. Grayson Reynolds scored a run and walked in the win.

In the loss to East Knox, Centerburg could only muster up a pair of hits. Rings was 1-for-3 and Lemaster went 1-for-2 for the Trojans.

Lemaster pitched well despite the loss, allowing four runs but one earned, five hits and two walks, while striking out nine batters.
