Nutrition Assistant
This opportunity at our Centerburg Head Start center is part time, 5.5 hours per day Tuesday through Friday and is non-benefited. The position is a combination of Bus Aide and Nutrition Assistant.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining the safety of children while they ride, board, or exit the vehicle and during emergencies, and extending the classroom curriculum on the bus.
Transporting and serving food to satellite sites every day, while maintaining responsibility for dishes and other kitchen materials used.
Acceptable Experience and Training: High school diploma or GED, and some experience with food preparation. Prefer Serve Safe Training. Must have the ability to:
• Communicate well with children, parents and other staff.
• Be physically capable of safely and appropriately lifting up to 55 lbs. and managing preschool and special needs children.
• Cope with stressful situations as related to preschool and special needs children.
