MOUNT VERNON — A superb quintet of wrestlers has been named to the 2010 Mount Vernon News All-Area Wrestling Team. Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets’ Dane Cullen and Collin Riley, Highland’s Mike Shepard, Utica’s Dylan Wheeler and East Knox’s Josh Beltz set the tone with their success this season.

Cullen, the Jackets’ 215-pound All-Ohio wrestler, was also among the better heavyweights in the area.

“In fact, all of the heavyweights he lost to this season were state placers,” said Mount Vernon coach John Brown.

It seemed pretty clear that Cullen was going to be a heavyweight this season.
