MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon boys tennis team wasted little time in picking up the victory Tuesday.
The Yellow Jackets didn’t lose a set in beating visiting Franklin Heights 5-0 in Ohio Capital Conference action.
“John Flemming, our No. 1 singles player, was out sick, so everyone had to move up a spot. They responded well,” said Mount Vernon coach Jeff Jarosz. “We’ve had a real strong start (to the season). We’re real excited about our start.”
