COLUMBUS — The East Knox boys track and field team pulled off the surprise of the day, taking third place as a team in the boys Division II District II meet at Cruiser Stadium in Groveport on Saturday. The Bulldogs had several individuals advance to the regional meet at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium.

“We’re really developing since we got our track,” said East Knox coach Jason Ewalt. “I wasn’t getting the numbers (of kids) a couple of years ago because traveling to Mount Vernon. A lot of kids couldn’t get rides to practice so they didn’t even come out. Now, that we have our own track the kids just walk over and get to work.”
