  • Freddies dominate in sweep

  • October 13, 2010 12:24 pm EDT

FREDERICKTOWN — The final home game for the Fredericktown Freddies’ quartet of seniors could not have been scripted any better.

Devan Kennedy, Hayley Derikito, Taylor Keener and Lisa Earnest went out victorious, sweeping Johnstown, 24-15, 24-15, 25-7, in their Mid-Buckeye Conference home finale on Tuesday evening.

The Freddies (13-6, 10-3 MBC) withstood an early challenge in Game 1 from the Johnnies. After that, however, it was all Freddies.

“It was exciting,” said Kennedy (11 points, eight kills, two blocks). “We played good and it was good that we won. We decided to pull together and regroup. It ended good.”
