CENTERBURG — It was the kind of a night that everyone dreams that their Senior Night will be.
The final home game for this years’ Centerburg Trojans’ senior class was part of an emotional night, which ended in a 27-7 victory over the visiting Northridge Vikings on Friday night Mid-Buckeye Conference action.
“I’m proud of these seniors,” Centerburg coach Jim Stoyle. “We have some pretty good leaders in there and, I think, they are a great group.”
The Trojans spread the ball around with senior quarterback Drew Osborne (11-for-17, 235 yards, 3 TDs) hitting junior receiver Logan McGovern (seven receptions, 235 yards) for a touchdown pass of 11 yards in the first quarter to go ahead, 6-0.
“It was just the result of everybody doing their jobs,” said McGovern.
“We try to maintain our balance in our offense,” said Stoyle, “I thought Drew played we and threw the ball extremely well tonight.”
