NELSONVILLE — Third time was a charm for Fredericktown.
For the third time in four years, they faced Wheelersburg out of the regional semifinals. And for the third time, they won.
The Freddies dominated on both sides of the ball from the start en route to a 36-13 win on Saturday at Boston Stadium in Nelsonville.
Matt Smith started the game with a 63-yard carry on the game’s second play. He ended the night with 206 yards and two touchdowns.
The defense swarmed Wheelersburg’s quarterback all night, totalling seven sacks, including six in the second half.
