It was sophomore Matt Smith who took over in the second half, scoring on three touchdown runs, including a 59-yard sprint with 6:37 to play that broke the tie for good.

Although the Freddies were outgained in yardage 379-348, they took advantage of four Oak Hill interceptions, three of which by Nathan Cubbage, including one with 2:11 to play to seal up the game.

Fredericktown will move on to face Coldwater in the Division V state semifinal, at a site to be determined.
