SPARTA — The Centerburg Trojans girls basketball team came roaring into Highland High School on Saturday night and came away with a 55-37 victory over the Fighting Scots in a matchup between backyard rivals to open the season.
“Extremely happy tonight — extremely happy,” said Centerburg coach Todd Naumann. “This was the first time that we had all 12 girls healthy and cleared to play. We haven’t had that yet, until tonight. We had a lot of bodies contributing on the floor in different aspects of the ball game.”
