CENTERBURG — It wasn’t pretty, but a win’s a win for the Centerburg girls basketball team.
The Trojans struggled to hang on to the ball and didn’t shoot that well, but a solid defensive effort helped them to a 63-47 victory over visiting Crestview on Saturday.
“I’d like to think that when we score 63 points, I’d have something positive to say. It’s really hard to do that,” Centerburg coach Todd Nauman said. “We had four in double figures and eight score and we scored in double figures in every quarter. So why is it so ugly?
“We never got control of the ballgame. I did not think we looked sharp today. We were certainly not sharp in our execution on the offensive end.”
