MOUNT VERNON — Once again, bad weather in Knox County and the surrounding areas has forced the postponement of area games.

The Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets moved Tuesday’s scheduled games at Marion Harding to Saturday. The junior varsity game is scheduled to tip off at noon.

Fredericktown has moved both its boys and girls basketball games. As of now, there is no word on when the girls’ scheduled games at Clear Fork will happen. Fredericktown athletic director Kirk Manns says he hopes to play the boys home games against Northridge today. If the weather doesn’t allow that to happen, Manns says the games will likely be moved to Saturday night.

The Utica girls basketball game at home against River View was postponed, with no re-schedule date set. The same holds for Centerburg’s boys basketball game against Newark Catholic. Both had been scheduled for Tuesday.

Mount Vernon Nazarene has rescheduled its men’s and women’s basketball games at Wilberforce to today, with the women’s game tipping off at 5:30.
