COLUMBUS — Drew Osborne, who led the Centerburg Trojans to a 13-9 record and a trip to the district semifinals, has been named Division II Second Team All-Central District.
The list was compiled by central Ohio sportswriters and editors.
Osborne led the Trojans in points per game (15.0), field goal percentage (55.2) and three-point percentage (55.2), coming in the top three in the area in all three categorites.
Osborne also led his team in rebounds (7.7) and steals (1.7).
Mount Vernon’s Ben Hoar was named Division I Third Team All-Central District. The 6-foot-3 senior led the area in scoring (16.5) and was in the top four in field-goal percentage (52.8), rebounds (6.4) and blocks (1.0).
Mount Vernon Academy’s Justin Green earned Division IV Third Team All-Central District honors. The 6-foot-6 senior led the Eagles with 22 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in the regular season.
On the girls’ side, Centerburg’s Mackenzie Stoyle was named to Division III Third Team All-Central District. Stoyle, who led the Trojans to a Mid-Buckeye Conference title, scored 11.2 points per game. She also led the area in three-point percentage (44.3) and was second in assists (3.7) while third in blocks (1.2).
Stoyle’s teammate, Claire Harvey, was named to the Division III honorable mention list. Fredericktown’s Lyndsay Briegel and Emily Williams also made the list.
Highland’s Kelsey Burt and Utica’s Myranda Wolfe made Division II’s honorable mention list.
For the boys, Mount Vernon’s Charlie Phillips and Riley Swanson were named Division I All-Central District honorable mention.
Utica’s Scott Cline, Jason Hoar and Nate Wyscarver made honorable mention in Division II, as did Highland’s Garrett Ulrey and Ethan Zuber.
Fredericktown landed three players on the Division III honorable mention list: Rashad Boyd, Garrett Gatton and Ryan Logan. Centerburg added Troy Lemke and Garrison Myles.
In Division IV, Danville’s Bryce Staats was named All-Central District honorable mention.
