MOUNT VERNON — In a match that could have decided the Ohio Cardinal Conference championship, the Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets fell just short.

Despite some furious rallies, the Jackets lost the last six points — four of which were game points — to a fired-up Hilliard Bradley Jaguars volleyball team.

Mount Vernon may have been swept, 23-25, 19-25, 24-26, but it played an even game with arguably the conference’s best team on Tuesday.

But the loss was so sudden that Mount Vernon head coach Erica Feick was at a loss for words after the match.
