MOUNT VERNON — Tuesday evening was a chance to talk about Ohio State Buckeyes football at the Dan Emmett Conference Center with former OSU coach John Cooper.

The College Football Hall of Famer was in town to speak to the Knox County Chapter of the OSU Alumni Club, who was holding their Buckeye Event and fundraiser.

“I’m here to talk Ohio State football,” said Cooper. “I pump them up a bit and give them insight on what I think has happened so far this year. I reminisce about the past — good and bad. I’ll answer questions, take pictures, sign autographs or whatever they want me to do.”

Of course, the evening was also about the important causes that the Alumni Club takes part in, like raising scholarship money for local high school students.
