HOWARD — This was a game filled with thrills, chills and spills. The best part is that it’s not over — yet.
The East Knox Bulldogs got a pair of late second-half goals in Wednesday’s downpour to manage a 3-3 tie with visiting Horizon Science Academy in their OHSAA tournament opener.
The game was suspended at the end of regulation due to darkness, but not before sophomore Joe Byers and freshman Aiden Nelson, each scored their first-ever goals for the Bulldogs. Nelson’s goal, which came with less than two minutes to go in regulation, knotted the match and sent it into a sudden-death matchup. Play was halted at the end of regulation, due to darkness. The overtime will be played today at 5 p.m.
