HOWARD — It was a tall order to say the least. All the East Knox Bulldogs needed to do was pin a loss on the undefeated Johnstown Johnnies.

The Johnnies were not about to let that happen as they rolled into Howard and defeated the Bulldogs, 62-20, in their Mid-Buckeye Conference matchup on Friday evening.

Johnstown running back Ross Franklin led the way with 14 rushes for 208 yards and three touchdowns and he had plenty of help. Teammates Adam Carter (nine rushes for 63 yards) and Matt Smith (seven rushes for 60 yards) each scored a pair of touchdowns and Alex Workman (six rushes for 25 yards) added another as Johnstown piled up 422 total yards.

“We just had a good week of practice,” said Franklin. “Our line came out and blocked real good. I ran as hard as I could for them because they blocked hard for me. I’m just doing what I can do.”

Basically, they showed the Bulldogs no mercy.
