HILLIARD — The climb up the bracket during tournament time is a slow and perilous ascent. No opponent can be taken for granted. The teams that are well-prepared and make the necessary adjustments on the fly are the ones who will survive.

The No. 3 seeded Centerburg Trojans faced a tough challenge from the No. 5 seed Fairbanks Panthers in their OHSAA Division III Central District Semifinal at Hilliard Bradley High School. The Trojans managed to pull off a sweep, despite barely winning the first game, and holding off a stiff Fairbanks challenge in Game 2. The Trojans finally polished off the Panthers to take the match, 25-23, 25-19, 25-13.
