Centerburg downs Utica, awaits possible playoff bid
The Trojans, with a chance of making the playoffs, made sure they held up their end of the bargain, jumping on Utica early and often, cruising to a 38-14 victory in Mid-Buckeye Conference action at Centerburg.
“We took care of what we could control. Hopefully, we’ll get some help,” said Centerburg coach Jim Stoyle. “We had goals on the board tonight. One, get to eight wins. Two, they (Utica) beat us 47-0 last year. Last week, we were able to take care of Fredericktown. We had this one circled, too. Three, Jason Ratliff needed 153 yards to get 1,000.
