Danville takes Devil-Dog Trophy beating East Knox
The Blue Devils completed a 7-3 season by pounding the East Knox Bulldogs, 34-7, in Saturday's season finale.
Danville exployed the same strategy that helped the team all year — give the ball to Heath Buckingham and let him pound away. Buckingham had 26 carries for 218 yards, scoring four touchdowns.
Marcus Durbin went 7-for-8 passing for 74 yards. He found Derek Baker three times.
Quinton Ferenbaugh scored the other touchdown for the Blue Devils.
East Knox was led by Mason Lyon, who carried the ball 11 times for 94 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown sprint in the second quarter.
