MOUNT VERNON — The Loudonville Redbirds have climbed to the top of the Mid-Buckeye Conference standings thanks to a stifling defense.
Friday night at Utica, they put together one of their best showings, shutting down all facets of the Redskins’ offense and rolling to a 43-30 victory.
“They are the best defensive team we’ve played all year,” said Utica boys basketball coach Brian Radabaugh. “Their kids play very hard, they are very well coached, and they are very prepared.
“They are a bad match-up for us. Their length bothers us. It was tough to get any open looks.”
