The Mount Vernon boys soccer team’s opponent on Saturday was without its two best players.

However, the rest of the team is pretty good, too.

After a scoreless tussle lasting almost the whole match, Mansfield Christian scored with 2:45 to go in the second half to steal a 1-0 nonconference victory over the Yellow Jackets in boys soccer at Mount Vernon.
