FREDERICKTOWN — Ryan Logan did his damage on both ends of the court and from the free throw line as well.
The Fredericktown Freddies’ forward finished with 31 points on Tuesday. He did it by hitting 10-of-16 from the floor and 11-of-12 from the foul line. Just for good measure, he pulled down eight rebounds to lead his team to a 58-40 win over the visiting Utica Redskins in Mid-Buckeye Conference basketball action on Tuesday.
Logan went to work early, taking advantage of a pair of fouls from Utica post player Spencer Kendall (seven points). Logan had a pair of 3-point plays, a steal, a dunk and another bucket to help the Freddies grab a 10-2 lead.
“We harp on getting out to an early start.” said Logan. “We keep pushing and pushing to build that lead so they don’t get a chance.”
Logan would hit two more shots in the opening quarter. Fredericktown forward Nash Cunningham (four points) and guard Kirk Manns (five points) each added a score as the Freddies built an 11-point first quarter lead.
