HOWARD — The East Knox Bulldogs showed plenty of fight in the fourth quarter of Friday evening’s game. Playing as if they were let off the leash, they went on the attack and took down the visiting Centerburg Trojans, 56-50, in their Mid-Buckeye Conference matchup.
Down after three quarters, 41-39, East Knox (6-14, 3-10 MBC) had kept it close throughout the game. East Knox guard Demetrius Susi (14 points) led off the final quarter with a 3-pointer off an offensive rebound. He had hit three others which helped to keep the Bulldogs in the game. This one, however, gave them a 42-41 lead. It was also the moment the Bulldogs went on the attack.
Tyler Stoyle (19 points) scored with 6:40 to go in the game to give Centerburg (10-11, 6-7 MBC) the lead back temporarily, but not for long.
East Knox post player David Judson took charge under the basket, grabbing several important rebounds and scoring seven of his 10 points as he played with a chip on his shoulder.
