UTICA — The Fredericktown Freddies rolled into Utica on Tuesday to play their Mid-Buckeye Conference rival Redskins with a sense of purpose.
“We were focused from the start,” said Fredericktown coach Tom Craze. “Our kids were excited and we put two quality wins together on back-to-back days.”
The Freddies did it with a four-hitter from ace Nash Cunningham, who fanned nine while walking only one to down the Utica Redskins, 11-1, in a game that was shortened to five innings by the run rule.
