MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets tennis team struggled Thursday against a stiff breeze and an Olentangy Orange team that was just a little bit more experienced. The Pioneers, who packed the front end of their schedule with tough teams, got their first victory of the year, sweeping the Jackets in singles and doubles play.

Mount Vernon coach Jeff Jarosz juggled his lineup, moving senior Nate Nestor into the first singles spot to face Olentangy Orange’s Tim Hawk.
