CENTERBURG — The Fredericktown Freddies played nearly perfect baseball Tuesday.
It’s becoming a bit of a trend.
Nash Cunningham struck out nine batters in a two-hit shutout and the Freddies committed no errors in their 10-0 run-rule victory over Mid-Buckeye Conference rival Centerburg. It was Fredericktown’s ninth straight victory.
Cunningham threw 63 pitches — 47 of which were strikes — and showed mastery on nearly every pitch.
“I just wanted to keep my fastball low and locate that well,” said Cunningham. “Change it up with a curve. Bring in a changeup, mix that in a little bit.”
