Ok please explain to me how the same issue is not only causing problems to my clothing but anything that is in direct contact with water. For example my dogs bowl, my shower curtain the outside of my toilet. I don’t’ think that direct sunlight would cause staining to either of those places in my home furthermore, stating that direct sunlight is a cause of this issue is beyond a realistic answer. Yes this is a blue collar down and the perception that all of us are uneducated and will accept answers from our mayor like this is ridiculous.

I will tell you this if problems aren’t’ resolved here in the next year I will be taking this issue further. Because I don’t live off of government assistants and I do pay for my children’s clothing which are becoming ruined. I would prefer to hear we don’t’ know why this is happening rather than pointing a finger at any provided possible answer that is given by general water placement test. Mayor lead your town the right way and pay for a investigation and find a way to fix this problem before actions have to been taken on and you lose what respect you do have from the people here in Mount Vernon.

What about my dark green and blue towels. Give me a break If thats the case other city and towns should be having problems like this. Is Fredericktown, Danville, Centerburg? They would have the same issues with the clothes they buy unless they never go out into the sun.

Let’s see….I buy a new shirt wash it the next day and it’s ruined by splotchy spots and it’s from sunlight exposure? What a crock! This has been happening for years. I know when I smell the chlorine in my shower water that I better not wash any colored clothes for the next two days or they’ll get ruined. It seems to have to do with when the water is treated and how well the treatment chemicals were mixed prior to the water being circulated through the east side.
