More issues arise with foreclosurers

MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon residents who have lost their homes to foreclosure could continue to face water bills from the city if measures aren’t taken.

    Move to the country and put in a well. Just dont move to Millwood, they are going to be forced soon to start paying a monthly bill.

    The idea that homeowners pay their water bills sounds reasonable, but to force landlords to pay for their tenants is not. The water department should enforce this, not use others to do their dirty work.

    i’ve got an idea for everyone. get rid of your cellphones and pay your darn water bills. just think of how much less road congestion there would be if you actually were to drive your car instead of run your gums or text while driving. because that is ALL of mt. vernon.

    It’s scary how much authority the Water Deptment has. They act like the water bill is a court order or something. Have you ever tried to get the water dept to work with you on a payment, good luck. It is kind of funny how quick they they try to hang one of those red tags on your door so they can charge you an extra ten bucks on top of your bill. Talk about sleazy business practices..
