Interesting that the site chose as a first line in every post that Freshwater was
fired for having a Bible on his desk. As if that is “the issue”.

The issues are that he burned a cross on a student’s arm, gave extra credit for
viewing a creationist film, taught almost daily creationism in his class and made
science out to be evil. For a lot of years.

The cross burning allowed the cowardly administrators to at last get rid of this
faux science teacher. Now, he and his attorney are wasting hundreds of thousands of the
taxpayers money. They know they are wrong. They know he was fired for just cause.

That’s what Mr. Freshwater and his attorney are doing with this hearing—responding to the allegations. If the investigation had been done properly by H.R. On Call there might not have been a need for a hearing. The contract required the investigators to give Mr. Freshwater a chance to give a comprehensive written response to the complaints—before the investigation was completed.

It’s shameful that he gets to drain the community of funds as we defend against his behavior, which is obviously against public education rules and standards.
