I am concerned about the actions taken here. It is difficult to get good people to run for these positions. Is this the impression we want to give others considering running for office or any type in Mount Vernon? Someone sends you a donation, you add it to your coffers then realize that is can not be accepted so you return it… but the paper work piece is so complicated that is seems like you took the money. I think we need to review the entire process as the flaw seems to be in the system not the individual.
