MOUNT VERNON — Fifty-four-year-old Jean Davis lived her entire life in the Bladensburg area, until her death this past Sunday. Found shot to death outside her back door, those who knew this Sunday school teacher and retired Columbia Gas worker can think of no reason someone would want to harm her.

I don’t know if you are on facebook, but I found Jean’s page, and there are great pictures of the new babies (of all kinds) to look at. I hope seeing her warm comments and photos brings you some comfort. Happy new year.

Jean was like an aunt to me. She was really good friends with my mother for years. She worked with my mother at Columbia Gas Transmisson for years. She was an awesome friend. She is the type of person that would give something than to recive something back. I remember when i was little i was at her house on a cold October night watching a baby lamb be born. U couldnt ask for a better person to be friends with than Jean. We will miss her.
