Long termination hearings not unusual

MOUNT VERNON — The contract termination hearing for Mount Vernon Middle School teacher John Freshwater has been going on intermittently for more than a year. That, apparently, is not an unusual situation.

    let the parents of this student sue freshwater the person,or the teacher,and let the school board decide to fire him,and so this would stop using all knox countys money,this is getting so stupid.

    John should be encouraged in the fact, that he should have several offers to teach in a scientific creationist school.

    Interesting article. There is one important detail, though, that needs clarifying. It was the school board who chose to have the hearing before a referee. (See my article “John Freshwater Wanted Hearing To Be Before School Board.”)
