BLADENSBURG — Prevention is key to personal safety, FBI agent Harry Trombitas told residents who gathered at East Knox Elementary School on Monday for a crime awareness seminar. Being alert and responding quickly are also key elements in deterring or minimizing crime.

    I’m kinda surprised that criminals didn’t use this opportunity to break in to a number of houses. Maybe they were there also, learning what the community is going to do to try to stop their crimespree

    agent mcgruff. lol. unless moved to a police state we can only feel safer. sure some things can prevent small breaki ns and the like. but “Prevention” may very well be the reason nick wallace was shot and the other guy unharmed.
