I also have had 2 sons serve our country. Jared Burkam spent 15 months at FOB warhorse in the diayala province if Iraq. He was with the 1st cav. out of Fort Hood Texas. My son Adam Burkam is on his 2nd tour in Iraq with the national guard. He volunteered to go both times. and is slated to go to Afghanistan next year with the Ohio national guard. Maybe the paper could have a running list of those with ties to our county that are serving. Maybe include addresses to go with, as mail from home can mean so much to people when they are deployed. Just an Idea.
