MOUNT VERNON — The Fredericktown community suffered a monumental loss this week, one that will echo for quite a while. Head football coach Luke Beal announced that, after 10 years, he has accepted the head coaching position for Division I Brunswick High School.

    I knew his father who meant more to football at Clear Fork than all those who exploited him for their own personal gain. Your father left a good impression on all those who had the occasion to encounter him and that is especially true when you consider the affect he had on his own son.

    Parents seem to make it difficult for any coach to stay in one place for very long because they think their child is more important than the group.
