Most people I discussed this issue with were led to believe that Veteran’s clubs would no be involved, but when they inserted a clause in the law banning it from clubs that had employees. Then our governor asked the courts to rule. He knew the language had to be changed in the legislative branch. That’s what we’re all dealing with these buck passers we elect. Most of them lack spine.

there were two bans voted on. one sounded better than the other. but there was no option to vote against a smoking ban.

I believe there was a clause in the bill that some self-righteous law-maker found a way to sub-vert. It was suppose to allow private clubs the right to smoke. You people want to ban everything that some politician says is bad for your health. I find it bad for my health to seek care in a hospital full of drug mandates; electronic devices restricting my movements. Our society is so unindated with laws, we can’t stop someone from stealing a child’s bicycle. Have another glass of city water; make sure there’s not too much chorine in it before you do.

Hey, EDK, great for you that you quit smoking. Now get off your self-righteous high horse. Sometimes there’s nothing worse than an EX-smoker.

Perhaps banning motorcycle riding, car racing, sky diving, hang gliding, fast-food restaurants, soda pop, sugar, fried foods and of course all alchol would be better for everyone’s health. Let’s ban them too!

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t the people of Ohio vote to ban smoking? I don’t recall our elected officials pushing the law on anyone. The majority voted to ban and the majority won!

I smoked for almost 15 years. The best thing I ever did for my health was to quit. I don’t understand why smokers think every one is out to get them. Banning smoking is better for everyone’s health. Get a clue!

Why should non smokers be able to tell me how to run my business?
I started it I invested my money and time in it and gave the choice for people to give me there business or not.
It’s a persons choice to be there or not, if they don’t like the smoking they should leave. No one is forcing them to enter or stay. If this is a free country then the choice is up to you I own the business and the way I run my business should be my choice not yours.So how hard is it go or stay.
