My daughter lives in Iceland. She met her husband, who is from Iceland, when they attended the University of Copenhagan together. It is the land of fire and ice and the people are extremely brave and close-knit. They are experiencing earthquakes/trwmors, polar bears being killed, economic collapse and total devaluation of the currency, and now….a terrible volcanic explosions. Iceland needs your prayers.

After this cold Winter, in which we all paid higher heating bills, now the the so-called experts on the warming of the earth due to cars, has caused us to have an early hot Spring. Just can’t win against these people whom make thier money by being opposed to cars and cows farting. Come on…get a real job! What possible service do you so-called college educated people do? Seems we can’t win either way. By the way… did you ever pay off your student loans that I helped pay for?

I just have to laugh at all the people getting mad at it. Why bother? It’s nature, there’s nothing you can do about it. Saw someone on the news say people in Iceland should control their volcano and had a good hearty laugh at that. I needed it too.

A friend of ours and her two children are stuck in Italy and can’t get back to their military base in England. She was on vacation so at least she isn’t having to pay a hotel bill. Her friends are great and are just looking at it as an extended vacation!

We have friends in the Philippines who are sitting on packed luggage and boxes, in anticipation of a permanent move to Germany. They were to be there today. Jana is German and her husband, a Filipino works permanently, as a Captain, for a Dutch shipping firm. His ship is to leave port this Thursday evening, but they can’t get a flight out of Manila until May 3rd.
A wonderful move for them and their children has turned sour – for the moment, at least.

A friend of mine is stuck in Holland. Thinks the Volcano is a sign of the end of the world. She resides in California so I can imagine her desparate thoughts.
