    Mount Vernon News, PLEASE get it right: the 3C rail plan is NOT a light-rail plan. Light-rail refers to small, agile trains that run on, quite literally, LIGHT rail. The 3C plan is to place large, fast-moving trains on existing heavy-rail rights of way. The two systems are totally different.

    For Quinn, cutting the state’s budget is simple.

    “Cut taxes,” Quinn said. “Don’t give them the money. That’s not hard — it’s not rocket science. We need to get rid of government, it’s too intrusive anyway.”

    … Glad to know that the childishness and unseriousness of the national Republican party has worked its way down to this yahoo.
