MOUNT VERNON — The three Republican candidates for county commissioner went head-to-head Monday night in a forum sponsored by the Knox County 9/12 Project. Democratic candidate Rebecca Jordan was invited as well, but was not present due to a previous engagement.

It is the way things are done, now. Everything is scripted, even the open debates. Everything is a stage play.

I certainly understand the criticism about Bob Wise, but Roger Reed is just another sheep in wool’s clothing, the way he handles business behind closed doors is not to the publics interest

The Credit Union incident; the airport authority incident; the questionable contract with the Fair Board to provide his business’ propane? Being found guilty of ethical violations by the Ohio Ethics Committee? Bob has remorse? That’s nice.

The community needs to send him packing.

I know, I read the article–but I’m not interested in Bob Wise’s remorse. I AM interested in the fact that we have a commissioner who is too stupid to realize what co-signing for a loan means.

That issue is covered in the article in a section about regrets.

Did anybody ask Bob Wise whether it is appropriate to threaten an employee of a credit union with a gun? Did anybody ask whether we really wanted a commissioner who lacked the ability to understand that, when you co-sign for your child’s loan and your child does not make payments, you are LEGALLY OBLIGATED to pay that loan?
