Walking from the south end of town on Martinsburg Road or Newark Road toward downtown is one of the worst experiences. Sidewalks disappear into mud or gravel driveways, overgrown bushes force you to walk in mud or the grass, present sidewalk is cracked or buckled, and residents use the sidewalk right-of-way as their parking area.
