The man wants to be a martyr and an exhibitionist of so called Christian morals that he alone dreams up. Burning a child's arm intentionally! That's an assault crime against a child. Whether it was a cross or X doesn't matter. Did he go to jail for that?

I'm an alumni of Mt Vernon's school system, 1956-1969. I don't understand why his religious symbols in the classroom were not removed by his superior boss like a teacher would remove inappropriate items students bring to school. I guess the bull has left the barn now and the school principal, lawyer, Board of Education did not think it all through.

I am very disappointed with John Freshwater's attorney being allowed to take so long with getting through this case. He is using TV attorney tactics to prolong the case so that the offensive runs out of money or settles. I understand this though, because my ex-huby was an attorney and a dirty one too. The Judge has a world of patiences but John Freshwater is guilty of religious favoritism in a taxpayer domain. He can teach in a private Christian school if they'll hire him. Parents are the only ones privileged to teach religion or not to their children. No one else can interfere; it is the parents who decide.
