Cat shelter being sued

MOUNT VERNON — Maria Fabish of Dublin has filed a case in small claims court against the Knox County Humane Society, alleging that staff at the society knew a cat was ill before adopting it out Dec. 31, 2009.

    Should have put the cat under after spending the first $100 on vet bills. Just doesnt make sense to me to spend out $2,200 already, then get a lawyer to retrieve the $2,200, but pay TWICE that amount to the lawyer.

    Shes gonna still be in debt around $2,000 or more. Cats can be bought for “a dime a dozen” anywhere

    I can believe that happening as i knew the woman in charge there and some of the things going on between the cat shelter and the dog pound. I have tried to get them investigated through several means to no avail. I know they kept pups at both the cat shelter and the pound for what they called a rescue wagon that got the pups for $25.00 each and told everyone they were adopted and it was done in secrecy as every one at the pound were told they were fired on the spot if they as much as mentioned the rescue wagon
