Absolutely agree with you. But I can see the other side too. Had she been in the water, could they have saved her? No. I think people below might be assuming there was special consideration, because it was Apple Valley (connections, priviledge, etc), whether that is the case or not. But again, had that been my relative missing, I’d be grateful for immediate action. I think the 24 hour “missing person” rule needs to be a guideline, not a rule, depending on circumstances.

If my family member were missing and they were last seen by water, I would want MY tax dollars to be used to search for them. Open you little minds before opening your opinions. Would you sit back and wait if she were your wife, sister, mother, friend…?

I’m amazed that the only concern here is how much money was spent. Perhaps we should wait and hear what caused her disappearance and the fact she was found alive. I am sure her family is relieved, as it could have been more tragic.

I am glad to hear that she is ALIVE, but at the same time why didnt she come out sooner. She had to know that people were looking for her.

Seems a tad excessive to exert that type of manpower and amount of resources to search for an adult who had not even been reported “missing” for 24 hours, and who they believed may not have even been in or near the lake. This is Knox County though, so I am not suprised. *shakes head and rolls eyes*

These kind of events are total BS.. She should be charged and made to pay for all the time emergency responders kept searching for her. Paid or volunteer they should all be paid.
This is total BS of taxpayer’s money!!!!
