I think that the fair is great i have been going to the fair ever since i was a little girl and still enjoy going but i do agree that they need less advertisement and more rides for the kids to be able to enjoy. My favorite thing is the rough truck and the ONLY BAD THING WITH THAT IS they need to do two seperate classes they need to stock and modified seperate because the guys that just have stock trucks or suv’s dont have a chance with the modified class those big boys take it all and i feel they should have the them seperate.

One of the best things about the fair is it’s size. It’s small enough to keep its charm and big enough that on the busy days the crowds are bearable. The entertainment is good. The ag museum is a gem and the 4H programs are great. But the best thing about the Knox County Fair is the Porkette sandwich…it’s an absolute necessity.

I found the fair to be quite enjoyable. It is one thing that the kids look forward to every year and they attend nearly every day. It has encouraged my children to take up 4-H. Every day that I was there, which was 4 days, I did not see any problems and the kids were behaving themselves. Craig Morgan was wonderful along with all the other big events. We had friends from out of town attend one evening and their first comment was “Where are all the cops?” Thank goodness we do not need them. Where they come from there is a great need for the appearance of a lot of police officers. We are very blessed that that is not our situation. The fair is good wholesome fun for everyone. It is great to be able to let your Tweens and older children explore the fair without you having to worry about what is going to happen to them. The fair is a great success!

I somewhat agree with Don, I agree that the fair is small, it had only 2 big rides, it needs more bigger rides. I also see it has more advertisements then anything, where ever you go there is some kind of sales pitch, the fair is suppose to be about FUN. I don’t agree with Don about the whole teenager thing, atleast they had something to do instead being on the streets. All I have to say is I hope it is bigger next year without all the advertisements and more rides.

We were at the fair later than usual and I spotted a handicapped shuttle taking some folks over to the concert. These were people with crutches, canes and walkers. Since the fairgrounds tends to be hilly this was a great thing for those who walk with difficulty! Relief was mirrored on their faces. I was encouraged that this service was available to those who needed it.
