That poor cougar was certainly scared and hungry before it was captured but lets hope it didn’t have to go back to that deplorable living condition…Then, on the other hand, it’s nice to hear that no one was attacked or hurt…

I also saw on the news it was finally caught. But, it showed the living conditions where the lion was kept, & it was sad.
Showed a large steel cage, a dog cage inside a old run down shed or small one car garage. Tall weeds all around it, several trash cans outside the door.
At the time it was aired on the news they said the lion was found, & taken to another location, But I dont know if its there permanantly or not.

I hope the owner didnt keep it in that cage all the time. If so… it wouldnt even be able to stand or walk around.
I’m wondering where they found it at.

If at all possible, the cougar should be trapped and subdued–not killed–and moved to a wildlife sanctuary and cared for by people who have its best interest at heart. If this is not possible, then as much as I hate to say it the cougar should be humanely euthanized.

The people who kept this cat as a pet have already ruined the poor animal’s life by declawing and confining it. I can’t imagine their motive for having the animal in the first place. The only reason someone would keep a cougar as a captive pet is out of selfishness, ego, greed, and ignorance.

If it is legal in Ohio to have an animal like this as a pet, then the legislation needs to be changed. If it is already illegal, the owners of this animal should receive maximum penalty for the crime.

Unfortunately, now that word is out about the animal being on the loose, I’m sure Bubba, Billy Bob and the other toothless rednecks in the area will be heading out into the woods in full pursuit.

When are people ever going to wake up and realize the world’s not all about them? God bless this poor creature who is suffering because of human stupidity and selfishness.

FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD, IT WAS CAUGHT LAST NIGHT(FRI) IT IS BACK WHERE IT CAME FROM AND SHE WAS MORE SCARED THAN THE PERSON WHO CAUGHT HER.

In my opinion, there should be a massive manhunt for this cougar, & kill it. Overkill it actually!Then jail the owner for having it in the first place.
I’m so tired of hearing about people with all sorts of snakes…some even poision, some twelve feet long, spiders, rats, possums, alligators…. anything that eats.

Then the thing gets loose & kills someones child or pet (a normal pet!!!!! )
Ridiculous!!

like the fox, coyote, and bobcats aren’t bad enough.
now we have a mountain lion.
