So vote for the levy so there arent big cuts.

Tests are mandated by the state not the local district and while they are flawed and do waste time. the tests produce a baseline for what the students have achieved. I am not against the testing, I am against the test that they use.

Politics and education shouldnt be brought up. just drop it.

However, we are all not out of the frying pan yet. There are so many people unemployed and property values are still down. Depending on the type of taxes that support your particular school system, they are not getting the revenue that they hoped and planned for. That usually leads to big cuts across the board unless they can pass a levy. I would like to see the graduation test totally done away with. Let the teachers teach what is important. You can’t measure student/teacher success with a test. I hope the school system that my son is in follows suite. We need to take our school back. No unfunded state and federal mandates. No teaching for a test. We need to get back to the basics.
