When residents of cities all over the country have spent their vacations cleaning up NOLA and rebuilding it and the residents and former residents have done all, then the fault seems to lie with the residents more than anyone else. After all with the floods in Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas and Nebraska which were actually worse than Katrina and the people were rebuilding long before NOLA even started and with the floods in Nashville this past year and the people have rebuilt much of the infrastructure without federal assistance, then for NOLA to still be as bad as it is 5 years after reflects more on NOLA than on the feds. What we have is a population that has become so dependent on the feds that they can’t even do for themselves. And what else I see is an administration that is trying to train a country to act the same way with the dependence on the feds. Another loser of a situation.
