The Woodward has all ready recieved three million dollars from the public, how much more do they need.

Dear Knoxcat, 100% of your tax dollar goes to payment of the interest on Federal Borrowing which finances the Grant which is nothing other than debt. Next time you write a check to pay a Federal Income tax carefully inspect the endorsement on your returned check or go online and read the history of the purpose of the tax.

alumni – it’s a grant – not a loan – no “debt” – and if you have suggestions on how to further improve a local arts festival that brings in visitor dollars to the community, do let us know…………and when you’ll be setting up office

Ok, I understand that this will supposedly cost the City nothing. What I don’t get is how it’s a City emergency to help a private land owner to fix up their place.

My understanding of a grant is that it is not borrowing. it is given money. Plus something like this is getting some of our tax dollars back.
