One of their past managers has a shop at Westerville and Morse roads- Antolino’s. We stop and get ‘half bakes’ when we come through Columbus. Our home mades are pretty darn good: your the boss when it comes to quantity of ingredients. The family’s local pick is Kelly’s– good hearty pizza. Used to run to Ron’s before Kelly’s came to the valley. A couple of the chains will do in a pinch– keep the tum’s handy.

It was a little disappointing to see the lack of “locally-owned” participation.

If you really poll local folks (taking into consideration that “Knox County Pizza” is definitely not the same as “New York/Chicago” pizza – the locally owned, non-chain pizza shops will win out, hands-down. No corporate recipe or special pricing will ever out-do local sentiment and loyalty.

As far as the squares instead of slices? Sorry Duncan – it’s been that way since I was a kid. Can’t explain it, won’t even attempt to understand it – but it works in the Midwest. Oh – and in the deep South and the Southwest…

There are probably 2 pizzerias to the block on NYC —on average anyway.. Nothing like it!

And I still can’t figure out why the local places don’t cut their pizza into 8 slices. What’s with the tiny, messy squares? Is that an Ohio or Midwest thing?
